Explore the numerous flats and shallow bays along each side of the island, Eleuthera has easy access making it ideal for experienced and novice bone fishers. However should you wish to reach some of the islands more remote locations then its suggested that you rent a jeep or hire a professional guide which will allow you to get off the beaten track. The Caribbean tide runs two hours behind the Atlantic, this provides anglers with the unique experience of fishing the prime tide twice. The size of bonefish can vary greatly in Eleuthera, you may come across 1 to 10 lb bonefish.
Like most islands in the Bahamas there are no fly shops on Eleuthera so ensure you bring your own fishing gear with you. Eleuthera also offers world class offshore/deep sea fishing, targeted species include, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish and Blue Marlin. Another option is to explore some bottom fishing for species such as Grouper, Snapper, Mutton Fish, Barracuda, Jacks and many other tropical fish.
